There are people who smoke for more than ten years and do not have a bronchial cough.

My hypothesis is that they have a genetic mutation that makes their lungs more resistant.

The goal of the project is to isolate the mutation responsible for this phenomenon. This research could provide a starting point for the development of drugs to increase the resistance of the pulmonary system. What is relevant in connection with air pollution in cities and the epidemic of the covid virus.
